Important Notice for Albertans who receive services in the Slave Lake area
Slave Lake and area residents who require assistance regarding child intervention, child care, Family Support for Children with Disabilities and other Children and Youth Services programs should contact 780-849-7220. The offices are now located in the old Fish and Wildlife building at 108 - 4 Avenue N.E., in Slave Lake. The hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8:15 a.m. - noon and 1 - 4:30 p.m.
The responsibilities of the North Central Alberta Child and Family Services Authority (CFSA) include:
- Assessing needs, setting priorities, planning, allocating resources, and managing the provision of services to children, families and other community members in the region
- Ensuring that children and families have reasonable access to quality services
- Ensuring that provincial policies and standards are followed in the region
- Monitoring and assessing the provision of child and family services
- Working with other CFSAs, public and private bodies, and government to coordinate services for children and families.
