5th Annual Candlelight Vigil
The 5th Annual Candlelight Vigil will be taking place on Wednesday, November 4th at 6:30 p.m. beginning in Friendship Park, Downtown Whitecourt (51st Avenue and 50th Street).
The Candlelight Vigil begins at Friendship Park, downtown Whitecourt, where everyone will meet. Everyone will be given a candle and candleholder and the candles will be lighted before everyone walks silently to commemorate victims of family violence untill the groupreaches the Whitecourt Senior's Circle.
Once everyone has reached the Whitecourt Senior's Circle (5212 - 50th Street), there will be entertainment, snacks and essays read about family violence, bullying or dating vioence. Artistic posters about the social issues of family violence, bullying or dating violence designed by local students will be on display, as will Silent Witnesses.
